Yash made his film debut in 2007 with Jambada Hudugi, playing a supporting role in the film. In his second film, Moggina Manasu 2008, he played the male lead opposite Radhika Pandit. She was born in the Hassan district of Karnataka. He has a younger sister Nandini. his father formerly worked in the (BMTC) transport service.
